2016年11月5日、小城鍋島家 Tenが栁生新陰流と大石神影流の剣術コラボイベントを開催。
剣術や歴史に関心がある方々が50名ほど参加され、参加者の中には小城市内の少年剣士の姿もありました。
共に小城に関わりがある剣術で現代剣道の礎にもなっています。

On November 5, 2016, “Ogi Nabeshima-ke Ten” hosted swordsmanship collaboration event in Ogi City, Saga Prefecture.
“Yagyu Shinkage-ryu” and “Oishi Shinkage-ryu” are Swordsmanship that are both involved in Ogi.
In addition, they are also the cornerstones of modern Kendo(Japanese fencing).
By the way, I was playing kendo from elementary school to university.

 

栁生新陰流剣術
Yagyu Shinkage-ryu Swordsmanship

小城では、西小路鍋島家が江戸時代末期まで栁生新陰流を相伝していました。
小城鍋島家Tenは、そんな由緒がある西小路鍋島家の屋敷の一角をお借りし営業しています。

In Ogi, “Nishikouji Nabeshima Family” had inherited “Yagyu Shinkage-ryu” Swordsmanship until the end of the Edo period.
“Ogi Nabeshima-ke Ten” is operating with the corner of the mansion of “Nishikouji Nabeshima Family” borrowed.

 

大石神影流剣術
Oishi Shinkage-ryu Swordsmanship

江戸時代後期に完成された剣術。
小城にもいち早く伝わりました。
小城公園の東には、門人の一人、江副兵部左衛門の石碑があります。

Swordsmanship which was developed in the late Edo period and also transmitted to Ogi.
To the east of Ogi Park, there is a stone monument of “江副兵部左衛門/Ezoe Hyoubuzaemon”, one of the swordsmen’s students.
